Liquid Lecithin Supplier and Manufacturer

Lecico is a supplier and manufacturer of liquid lecithin for industrial applications. Our portfolio includes soy, sunflower and rapeseed lecithin in liquid form, designed for use in food, feed and technical industries.

Liquid lecithin is an amphiphilic molecule: one end is lipophilic (oil-friendly), the other hydrophilic (water-friendly). This dual nature is the foundation of its emulsifying performance — enabling stable blends, preventing separation and supporting consistent processing in complex formulations.

Liquid lecithin is widely used as a natural emulsifier to improve processing efficiency, stabilize formulations and optimize flow properties. Depending on the application, lecithin can be selected and specified based on viscosity, oil content and plant origin.

Our liquid lecithin products are produced under controlled conditions to ensure consistent quality, reliable supply and full traceability. This enables stable performance in large-scale production processes with defined technical requirements.

Applications of Liquid Lecithin

Liquid lecithin is used in industrial formulations where efficient emulsification, flow control and process stability are required. Its liquid form allows easy integration into production processes and direct incorporation into fat-based systems.

In bakery applications, liquid lecithin improves dough handling, reduces stickiness and supports uniform fat distribution. It acts as a surface-active additive that reduces the surface tension between polar and non-polar components, contributing to consistent product quality and stable processing in large-scale production.

In confectionery, particularly in chocolate and coatings, liquid lecithin is used to control viscosity and improve flow properties. It reduces friction between cocoa particles in cocoa butter, positively affects crystallization behavior and retards crystal growth in fatty products — enabling optimized processing and reduced energy consumption during manufacturing.

In feed and technical applications, liquid lecithin acts as a dispersing agent and improves the distribution of ingredients. Lecithin-oil mixtures also serve as effective release agents and lubricants, helping to detach sticky masses from pans and molds in industrial processes.

In instant products, liquid lecithin enhances wettability and supports fast, uniform dispersion. It improves the dispersibility and oxidation stability of powdered formulations — particularly relevant for products that require efficient reconstitution.

The selection of the appropriate liquid lecithin depends on the specific formulation, processing conditions and required functional properties.

Typical functions of liquid lecithin:

  • Emulsification of oil and water phases
  • Viscosity reduction in fat-based systems
  • Improvement of flow and processing behavior
  • Dispersion and wetting of powders
  • Release and lubrication in industrial applications
  • Crystallization control in fatty products

Liquid Soy Lecithin

Liquid soy lecithin is the most widely used emulsifier in the food sector and in industrial applications, due to its consistent composition, reliable functionality and cost efficiency. It is a surface-active additive with emulsifying, dispersing and stabilizing properties, and provides a balanced phospholipid profile — making it suitable for a wide range of formulations.

As a manufacturer and supplier of liquid soy lecithin, Lecico offers standardized products for food, feed and technical applications. The product is available in non-GMO quality and can be specified according to viscosity, oil content and acetone insoluble values.

Liquid soy lecithin is commonly used in bakery, confectionery and instant products. As an emulsifier, it reduces surface tension between polar and apolar fluids; as a dispersing agent, it stabilizes oil/water and water/oil emulsions; and as a mixing facilitator, it improves the homogenization of blends of different ingredients. It is also applied in animal feed, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and many industrial applications.

Due to its availability and well-defined functional properties, liquid soy lecithin is often the preferred choice for industrial processes with clearly defined specifications and high volume requirements.

Typical properties of liquid soy lecithin:

  • Balanced phospholipid composition
  • Strong emulsifying and dispersing capacity
  • Reliable viscosity reduction
  • Good dispersibility in fat-based systems
  • Suitable for high-volume industrial applications
  • Available in non-GMO quality

Liquid Sunflower Lecithin

Liquid sunflower lecithin is a non-GMO alternative to soy-based lecithin and is widely used in formulations that require allergen-free and clean-label ingredients. It is derived from sunflower seeds — worldwide, no genetically modified sunflower seeds are grown — and offers a comparable phospholipid profile for many industrial applications.

As a supplier and manufacturer of liquid sunflower lecithin, Lecico provides products for food, nutraceutical and technical applications where specific labeling requirements must be met. The product can be specified according to viscosity, oil content and functional performance.

Due to effective filtering processes, fluid sunflower lecithins show few or no waxes and are available in light color and transparent consistency. Sunflower and soy lecithin differ only slightly in their chemical and physical composition, which means soy lecithin can in many cases be replaced by sunflower lecithin without compromising functionality. Its pleasant taste and neutral odor make it suitable for use in food products where sensory properties matter.

Liquid sunflower lecithin is commonly used in bakery, confectionery and dairy alternative products, where it supports emulsification, improves dispersion and ensures stable processing conditions. It enables manufacturers to meet non-GMO and soy-free requirements without compromising on performance.

Typical properties of liquid sunflower lecithin:

  • Non-GMO raw material — no genetically modified sunflower seeds grown worldwide
  • Suitable for allergen-free and clean-label products
  • Good emulsifying, dispersing and wetting properties
  • Stable viscosity and flow behavior
  • Light color and transparent consistency due to effective filtering
  • Alternative to soy lecithin in sensitive formulations

Liquid Rapeseed Lecithin

Liquid rapeseed lecithin is used in industrial applications where alternative raw materials to soy and sunflower are required. It is derived from rapeseed and provides functional phospholipids for emulsification and processing support.

Rapeseed lecithin contains large amounts of omega-6 fatty acids and has the most interesting fatty acid profile among the lecithins available on the market — including an excellent omega-6 to omega-3 ratio. It is non-allergenic like sunflower lecithin and can serve as a genuine alternative to both soybean and sunflower lecithin. Rapeseed lecithin is particularly suited for use in margarine, salad dressings, mayonnaise and bakery products.

As a manufacturer and supplier of liquid lecithin, Lecico offers rapeseed-based lecithin for selected food and technical applications. The product can be specified according to viscosity, oil content and functional requirements.

While less common than soy or sunflower lecithin, rapeseed lecithin can be a suitable option for applications with defined technical requirements and alternative raw material strategies.
